Year 11 explore effective change-making

24 July 2026
Year 11 students kicked off Term 3 by participating in a real-world problem-solving learning opportunity facilitated by Young Change Agents.
The Impact Boss Discovery workshop, which is supported by the innovative Australian business Who Gives a Crap, provided students with an opportunity to identify and discuss issues they see as affecting both our school and wider community such as youth wellbeing, public transport, poverty, misogyny, vandalism, access to the arts and support for local sporting clubs.
Supported to engage in a design thinking process, students worked in groups to develop a range of creative social enterprise ideas, including solutions that focused on public property education, festival safety, student mentoring, wellbeing support, affordable school supplies, transport across the Barossa, and stronger support for local volunteers and families in need.
The workshop provided students an invaluable opportunity to strengthen teamwork, communication, problem-solving and project management skills and to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset centered on positive community impact.
