Australian Business Week at NHS
12 August 2026

A group of 23 Year 10 students at Nuriootpa High School have this week been immersed in the Australian Business Week enterprise education program.

Through an immersive, simulated business experience, students to work collaboratively to assume roles such as CEO, Marketing Director and Finance Manager to develop and manage a ‘company’. Under the guidance of mentors, students must make critical business decisions, and navigate real-world challenges throughout the week, culminating in a ‘Trade Day’ presentation and showcase on Friday.

During the week students have also had the opportunity to build relationships with peers at Kapunda High School that are concurrently participating in the program (alongside a little friendly business competition!) and connect with local business owners.

The Australian Business Week program applies cross-curriculum learning, encompassing aspects of English, maths, visual art (design) and HASS (economics and enterprise) and nurtures entrepreneurial thinking.
