NHS students bring their baa-rilliance to SA Sheep Expo
07 May 2026

Held annually during the April school holidays, the SA Sheep Expo brings together young people aged 12 to 23 at the Adelaide Showgrounds for an immersive three-day program lead by wool and meat industry experts.

Three Nuriootpa High School students demonstrated their baa-rilliance, taking out awards at the expo:

  • Anna D – First place: Junior Handlers – Class 3 & Third place: Junior Age Group Champion.
  • Isabelle M – First place: Junior Handles – Class 2.
  • Toby F – Merit: Junior Young Judge Competition.

The students were supported to attend the Expo with a bursary that covered their expo registration fee thanks to the Angaston Agricultural Bureau. As recipients of the bursary they will each attend a meeting of the Bureau to conduct a presentation on their experience at the expo.
