As part of our school’s involvement in the Entrepreneurial Schools Project, we are seeking six Year 9 or 10 students to join the Nuriootpa High School Youth Council.
As a separate group to our SRC, students will be specifically involved in a focus group for Learner Agency (student choice and voice) and Teaching & Learning within our school. They will also be part of a national initiative designed to elevate student perspectives, build future-focused capabilities, and encourage them to engage in real-world problem-solving.
Here is an outline of what is involved in the Youth Council.
• Youth Council will consist of 6 students, each taking on a specific role as outlined in the attachment.
• The school is responsible for reviewing the applications, interviewing, deciding on the final 6 students selected from Years 9 and 10.
• The Youth Council needs to have the same members for 2 years.
For more information refer to the Youth Council Information Pack. Applications are to be made online and close on 27 February.
