Curriculum

Nuriootpa High School offers a broad and diverse curriculum. Our junior and middle school students (Year 7 to 10) study across eight learning areas aligned with the Australian Curriculum:
  • Arts
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Languages (German and/or Indonesian)
  • Science (including Agriculture)
  • Technologies.

These learning areas prepare students for senior school (Years 11 and 12), where learning is based on the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Course counselling and subject selection generally occur during term 3 in preparation for the following year.

Our school also offers Vocational Education and Training (VET) and school-based apprenticeship/traineeship pathways.
