Nuriootpa High School has recently released its first-ever podcast, which was recorded on-site in the school’s new podcasting studio.
With ‘Learner Agency’ at the core the school’s Entrepreneurial Learning strategy, the podcasting suite will provide opportunities for students to demonstrate evidence of learning in a contemporary, hands-on way.
Podcasting will provide opportunities for students to enact Learner Agency, the key components of which are voice, choice and responsibility, through Student Representative Council (SRC) and Entrepreneurial Schools Youth Council conversations, school uniform redevelopment discussions, interviewing special guests, and much more.
The first episode kicks off with music from the school’s march band before senior SRC students Jayde and Marrack introduce an insightful conversation between Mr David Marino (Principal) and Ms Kerrie Fox (Governing Council chairperson) about what’s ahead in 2026 for Nuriootpa High School.
Participants, presenters and producers will change for each episode, providing diversity of student voice and a variety of opportunity for participation. Listeners can stream episodes via Soundcloud.
