Host an international student

Nuriootpa High School is part of the Department for Education’s international student program.

Each year school students aged 12 or older from around the world choose to study in a South Australian government school.

Nuriootpa High School has previously welcomed students from Japan, Germany and France, and currently has a waitlist of international students interested in studying at our school in the future.

Your family may wish to consider hosting an international student – it is an amazing opportunity to learn more about other cultures, to foster connection and create life-long memories.

As a host (homestay) family you can nominate the period of time that best suits you. You’ll be provided with ongoing support through the Homestay Accommodation Team, will be eligible for a weekly homestay allowance of $360, plus a range of other benefits.
