NHS Sports Day record holders

One of our school’s most beloved events is fast approaching. On Friday 13 March (Week 7) Nuriootpa High School students will take to the oval in a sea of yellow, blue, green, pink and red as they compete in a variety of athletic events (and some fun novelty events too!).

While Sports Day is full of fun and festivity, it also the opportunity for athletically ambitious students to be selected to represent our school at the South Australian school sport athletics championships which is held at the SA Athletics Stadium in Mile End on 31 March (Week 10).

In 2025, six new records were set, including:

  • U/13 female 100m by Averlie S
  • U/13 male 100m by Lewis L
  • U/21 female football long kick by Miyu E
  • U/21 male football long kick by Mitchell H
  • U/13 female long jump by Indigo R
  • U/15 vortex throw by Zack G

The longest held record is the U/15 male triple jump which was set by D. Liebich in 1959!
