Barossa Shiraz is made from grapes grown in the schools’ vineyard by students and staff from the Agriculture faculty.

The 2012 release is a medium, full flavoured fruit driven wine. Excellent concentration and structure with obvious but well balanced tannins. The wine will continue to age for many years under ideal cellaring conditions.

BAROSSA CLASS SHIRAZ – 2013

This shiraz wine has been made from premium grapes grown in the Ebenezer district by the students and staff from the Agriculture faculty.

This release has a medium to deep plain red colour, concentrated fruit characters, integrated smokey/vanilla oak, rich full flavoured palate, ripe pronounced tannins and a long lingering finish.

This wine will continue to improve over the next 5 – 10 years if cellared correctly.

This Chardonnay has been made from premium grapes grown in the Kalimna district. Students harvest the grapes then crush and press them in the school’s winery. A wonderfully fruit driven style with fresh aromas and sliced white peach and background hints of fig, melon and lightly roasted nuts. A medium bodied wine displaying remarkably good complexity with subtle, nutty and well-balanced oak overtones.

BAROSSA CLASS 10 YEAR OLD TAWNY

This wine has been made by year 10 students from Shiraz grapes, grown at the school’s Barossa vineyard. This wine was produced in cooperation with Dean Kraehenbuhl, who has more than 45 years’ experience in the wine industry. This tawny is characterised by the rich mouth feel, perfect balance and a lingering complexity. It is the result of 10 years of careful ageing in oak before bottling.

BAROSSA CLASS RUBY

The name ‘Barossa Class’ was derived from our student’s vocational links with Lindsay Park Stud.

This ‘Ruby’ or ‘Liqueur Shiraz’ style wine has attractive fruit flavours which are complexed by a soft brandy spirit. The luscious but well balanced palate has great depth and length.

A wine to be enjoyed now.
