Student Representative Council

SRC stands for the Student Representative Council. It is an organisation comprised of students from years 8-12 with a variety of numbers from each year level. These leaders have been elected by their peers to be the voice of the student body after they have applied to join. The SRC is the voice of the students where their ideas, plans and desires are accepted by SRC to help create innovative ideas to improve everyone’s school life and wellbeing. The SRC’s role is to also organise school and local events to raise money for numerous well-deserving foundations and also to help improve the school.

The current Student Representative Council consists of 25 members. From this group executive leadership roles are elected (President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary).

In previous years the SRC have:

  • Organised multiple casual days with entertainment during lunch
  • Successfully resourced catering for sports day
  • Ran a Valentine’s Day fundraising stall
  • Hosted school Assemblies
  • Hosted a World’s Greatest Shave event
  • Participated in Anzac Day march
  • Participated in school committees
  • Acted as tour guides and ushers for various events
  • Helped improve our school’s waste management system
  • Sponsored a child for World Vision
  • Raised money for Glenn McGrath foundation
  • Raised money to improve school facilities

  • In 2017 the SRC will continue running similar events and will work with students to improve the school for everybody. The SRC has four key focus groups – Facilities, Wellbeing, Sustainability and School Pride.
